I've always been a sucker for old huge oak trees....you know...the ones with hanging moss for days! The kind that locks you into a stare of wonder and delight - the kind that makes you picture a fairytale wedding, heck, even when you're already married! My husband had the pleasure of setting up our restroom trailer on site at a recent wedding venue, set in the country, on acres of green, boasting the most beautiful, oldest tree in the state of Mississippi. And it truly is a captivating site...
I love how this wedding, while outdoors, still went for a cohesive, formal look. I love the bold bridesmaids dresses in blue, which compliment the earthy tones of this wedding nicely. The flower girls are also lovely in their white ankle length gowns. This bridal party screams Southern elegance, while the grooms party compliment them perfectly in their southern blues and tan. Augh! So perfectly coordinated!
What else do I love!? The personal touches - photos of lost family members on the bouquet. I regret not doing this for my wedding. I think this is a perfect alternative for the couples who might find offering "moments of silence for lost loved ones" during a wedding ceremony - "too much." Love love love!! The grooms cake is genius. I say wilder the better! The more complicated the better! The more ridiculous the better! Think about it. You spend SOOO much time perfecting every detail of your wedding, why not let loose for the groom's cake!? I'm glad this couple decided to stretch their creative limits on this detail - who needs another LSU grooms cake!? Did I say that out loud? I mean, Go Tigers! I mean, Geaux...sigh.... Moving on.... And how exquisite is the bride? Flawlessly posing in a rustic vintage doorway, surrounded by soft pastel flowers. She looks timeless, as well as the detailed scene. It's like she stepped out of a storybook and into another life, arriving to meet her one true love. It doesn't get any better! I also love the reveal with her bridesmaids! I didn't do this and think this would have been a super adorable shot! I guess I never THOUGHT to do this! I think I assumed the only one to really really really care about how I looked was my hubby to be and that just wasn't the case. I mean, yes, he loved how I looked, but the moment I had my look all together, I was surprised by all the Oooos and Aaaahs. I mean, look at these bridesmaids in Rachel's wedding. They are floored - rightfully so! All in all, I just love this wedding. Tim and I are both so thrilled for Rachel and her husband and wish them both a lifetime of happiness. CONGRATULATIONS RACHEL AND CALEB! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR LETTING JAZZY JOHNZ BE A PART OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY! :)
