Before I expound on our excitement about our first appearance as an exhibitor at the upcoming Premier Bridal Show, I want to provide some helpful wedding day planning tips. I'm sure this is you right now. You just got engaged. Life as you know it is about to be busy - busy with planning, cake tasting, color picking, song selecting, menu coordinating and vendor choosing. You've already selected your mate for life, so at least the hard part is out of the way. Phew! But now you may be wondering what the first step is in your planning process when you're starting from square one. This is such an important time in your life, and it's important that you don't forget to enjoy it. Here's my advice from someone who recently got married herself.
5. Visit a Premier Bridal Show This tip deserves its own category because it's just that important. A bridal expo is the perfect place and opportunity to surround yourself with other brides just like you, meet vendors, gather ideas and potentially start making plans for your big day. Brides can meet photographers, coordinators, caterers, DJs, bridal gown store owners, videographers, florists and so much more. This year at the Biloxi, MS Premier Bridal Show on Jan. 24th at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center, Jazzy Johnz will be making its first appearance on the trade show floor.
We are SO excited to meet the other brides, discuss their wedding plans and learn more about what they have in mind for their big day. If you're attending the show, be sure to stop by our booth (#605) and grab one of our brochures. We'll also have one of our restroom trailers on display in the parking lot for brides to step in for a tour! See for yourself how we can transform portable toilets into a stunning luxury restroom trailer. For more information about the Premier Bridal Show, click here.

It's the most important day of your life - your wedding. And while you've chosen your groom, now the next step is to pick a date, then pick your venue. For some traditional brides, this decision is easy, but for others, the decision can be quite daunting. (and not as fun as cake tasting!). If you find yourself debating between a traditional church ceremony and something a little more unorthodox, you're not alone. These days more and more brides are opting for a "different" wedding in a unique setting. Let's just use me as an example (because why not!?). I was the traditional bride who dreamed of a non- traditional wedding (I'm a woman; we like to complicate things.). I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but looking back on it, all my efforts were totally worth it. My husband and I mixed my classic, old-time soul with his love for aviation and opted for a vintage-styled aviation theme wedding and reception. Prior to the ceremony, guests were greeted by our "flight attendants," who handed out mini water bottles and in-flight pretzel snacks. During the ceremony, guests were greeted by a voice on an intercom, preparing them for "take-off" (just like you would hear on an actual plane, only the words were tailored for our special day). After the announcement of husband and wife, my husband kissed me and a plane flew past behind us. It was a surreal kind of feeling, one I will never forget. We exited the asiles to "It's a Beautiful Day" by U2 (and thank the stars, the sun was shinning for us, but we DID have a plan B just in case). All photos were taken by Jordan Blanchard, New Orleans (amazing photographer!) The reception took place in a nearby vintage hangar, where, guests signed old vintage postcards, collected their airplane bottle opener party favors and snagged some sweets from the candy bar, which was even lined with puffy clouds. As the end of the night drew near, my husband and I kissed under fireworks and I quickly changed into dress #2 to perform our choreographed routine to the song "Begin the Beguine" by Artie Shaw. Then we closed the night with our sparkler exit. We had SO many guests tell us that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever been to, which for me (the bride) made every detail worth it. What made our hangar reception possible was our restroom trailer. Since I wasn't willing to settle for porta potties, the luxury restroom trailer is what sold me on this whole vintage hangar idea, well, among all the other things that sold me as well.
I would recommend to ANY bride considering an outdoor party, event, or wedding, to run with it. The outdoors is a place "everyone" is familiar with and can feel comfortable in (weather permitting, of course). And if your outdoor event is as half as successful as our wedding day, you and your guests will have the most memorable day of your life : ) |
